About Us

The location this typical old large house built in 1904 which has been especially recycled to receive travelers from all over the world is just spectacular: just meters away from Plaza Dorrego (Dorrego Park) the Museum of Modern Art, the Film University and Parque Lezama (Lezama Park), and even a few blocks away from Plaza de Mayo, the Obelisco (Obelisk), Caminito St., the La Boca neighborhood and some of the most important universities in Buenos Aires.

The Hostel

The rooms and common spaces: All of them have plenty of sunlight. The walls, all brownstone create very warm and cozy places with balconies overlooking the street. The house has sunlight from early in the morning till dusk.

The reception area at Hostel One : will gladly surprise you with its strength and warmth because it’s the perfect spot to listen to music, plan your outings or check you emails totally free of charge since we have a 24/7 DSL service available.

Our flat roof: : Also known as “La Azotea”, it is our guests´ favorite spot. You can sunbathe, eat or drink something and relax after a busy day roaming through Buenos Aires. There you have a grill where you can enjoy a traditional Argentine barbecue (we call it asado and you can even grill it yourself). In the summer you will be able to relax at the solarium and enjoy the groove of evening parties.

The Patio: It has the charm of malvones (geraniums) typical plants of Buenos Aires, which decorated for many years the patios of the houses of our city. You will be able to have breakfast, enjoy an evening happy hour or simply share anecdotes of your outings and walks with friends.

We will surprise you every day with original suggestions so you can choose what kind of memories you may want to take with you after visiting Buenos Aires.

Alter staying at Hostel One you will know Spanish and “lunfardo” (our local porteno slang). You will know the feeling of dancing a tango or a milonga. You will also have experienced the taste of a real asado (which you may have cooked yourself) You will remember the excitement of going to a football (that is soccer if you are from the US) game of the Argentine Football tournament and then playing a game yourself. If you like dancing or listening to international DJs, you will have here the opportunity to do it. Even more, if you like adventure and the outdoors you will be able to rent bikes to bike around the city.
